Background:

Aria Union is a traditional area of Daulatpur Upazila which bears witness to the times. In the course of time, Arya Union still has its own identity in various fields including education, culture, religious ceremonies, financial prosperity, sports.

 

Location of Union Parishad:

Union Parishad Bhaban is located at Baragandia Bazar under Daulatpur Upazila. Adjacent to Aria Union Land Office, Union Information and Service Center, Family Planning Center, Bargangdia Primary School.

 

 

History in a word:

Aria Union Parishad is one of the ancient Union Parishads. Mr. Shariatullah, Haldharen of the war-torn union, was the chairman of the union until 1972, the year after the war of liberation. Mr. Jamal Uddin Mollah, a well-known leader of the area, took the helm of the Union in 1983 and after his term expired in 1986, Mr. Mosharraf Hossain was elected as the Chairman of the Union Parishad from 1986 to 1992. After that, in 1993, the famous public leader of the area, Mr. Md. Firoz Al Mamun resigned from the Union Parishad in the year 2003 by running the activities of the union in a beautiful and smooth manner. After that Jamal Uddin Mollah was elected chairman in 2004 and resigned in 2010. Mr. Md. Firoz Al Mamun was re-elected as the Chairman of the Union on August 10, 2011. He won the Upazila election on April 26, 2014 and took over the helm of Pur Upazila. He was replaced by Mr. Amjad Hossain Hal. With duty.
